Spring Fling Blog Hop

Welcome to the Spring Flig Blog Hop. Spring is a lovely time of year – the flowers start blooming, the trees start leaving  getting leaves, animals come out of hibernation and the birds return.

Love is in the air.

Megan’s Desire, Fawn Lake book Two, starts in the Spring when Megan first meets her handyman, Tate.

Megan shoved the empty box off the counter.  “I don’t need to meet someone.  I am just fine the way I am.  A man will not complete me, a kennel full of rescue dogs will.”

“I only want what’s best for you-”

“Yeah, well, what’s best for me is hanging up the phone now.  I have to meet with my handy man.”

“Don’t be like this Megs.”

“I’m not being like anything except busy.  I’ll call you later.” Megan clicked the phone off and shoved it in her pocket.

Sid jumped off the ottoman and ran to the door, barking.  His supersonic hearing alerted her to the truck in the driveway.  She opened the door and sent Sid out while she slid into her flip-flops, shaking off the lingering frustration from the call with her sister.  Watching Sid through the screen, she caught a glimpse of what she sincerely hoped was her handy man.

Sandy blond hair curled over the collar of his t-shirt, which stretched tightly across broad shoulders and thick arms.  An image of his hands clamped tightly on her hips flashed through her mind.  She laughed at herself and pushed through the door.  “Hi,” she called and waved.

He waved back and scratched Sid’s head.  The truck door slammed closed and she scrambled down the stairs.  “Megan Lewis.  Thanks for coming over.” He was older than she was by a few years, she guessed, but not out of her age range.

The corner of his mouth curled up in a lazy smile and dimples appeared in his cheeks.  “Tate Roberts,” he held out his hand, electricity jolting her when they shook.  “Nice to meet you.  Where do you wanna start?”
