NaNoWriMo Nearly Killed Me…

I finished NaNo, barely.

I wrote almost 15,000 words in the last two days of November. I finished the month at 50,222 words. I also submitted one short story to a call for submissions, edited two stories that are already sold and let my blogs (all four of them) fall apart completely.

Delilah’s Passion has been out for six weeks now and my two flash fiction anthologies are available in print. I have another short story – Twenty Questions – coming out from Silver publishing on the 14th of this month.

All in all, what did November teach me?

I don’t know yet. Ask me in January when I’ve fully recovered.

Yeah, NaNo nearly killed me too this year. While I did keep up with my blogs, I let everything else around me fall apart. Next year I think I’ll keep my seat firmly on the sidelines and cheer everyone else on. Maybe I’ll use the time to edit one of my previous NaNo novels instead. LOL

Nano nearly killed me and I only wrote 2500 words. My official count is 5k, but that is because I actually had 2500 written before nano.

I was very motivated this year, but I simply wasn’t able to write the way Nano participants are encouraged to write, so that killed my motivation a bit. Then I got sick and it was pretty much downhill from there.

I, like Carol, plan to sit on the sidelines and congratulate my friends on their awesome success with their novels!
